Stanmore Farm utilises sustainable practices in its nursery, the farm’s rootstock and scion mother blocks and the grafted vine fields. In our nursery operations, sustainable practices include crop rotation, cover crops, fallowing, mulches and pest and disease monitoring. We also use biological products such as fish and seaweed fertilisers for fertility and nutrition, as well as Trichoderma and Mycorrhizae for enhanced disease protection.

“We are a family business in our second generation,” says Kate Gibbs. “We believe that we are taking care of the land for our children and our sustainable practices have helped confirm that we are on the right track.”
